Anna Szmeja

Retail Institute

Graduate of the Gdańsk University of Technology and the Warsaw School of Economics, scholarship student at the Trade and International Relations Department of the Universite de Rennes 1 in France, Anna Szmeja has been working in the shopping center and retail chain sector since 2000.

At the beginning of the professional path, she worked i.e. at: Decathlon France, Apsys Poland and Caelum Development in the capacity of operational director and marketing director. Widely known in the retail sector as a founder and long-standing general director of the Polish Council of Shopping Centers (PRCH). After 14 years dedicated to PRCH, together with a group of experts, Anna established Retail Institute – a center of dialogue, research and analysis for the retail sector.

In private life, she is a fulfilled mother; she loves mountain hiking, good books and red wine.

Anna Duchnowska

Invesco

Anna Duchnowska has been heading Polish Office of Invesco Real Estate (IRE) since March 2014. She is responsible for management of various asset classes totalling ca 500 mln EUR, including prime scheme - Galeria Kazimierz in Krakow and Plac Unii City Shopping in Warsaw. She is also responsible IRE’s business development.

Anna has over 15 years of professional experience, of which the past eleven have been focused on asset management, investment, leasing and finance within the CEE and Polish property markets, with particular emphasis on retail and outlet as well as office sectors. Prior to joining IRE, Anna has spent two years in Colliers International Poland, as the director of landlord representation and asset management. Prior to this she spent seven years with AIB PPM as the head of asset management for one of their property funds. Her professional qualifications include a Master of Economics degree from the Warsaw School of Economics and an Executive MBA from the University of Minnesota. Anna is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Accountants (FCCA) and a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

Agnieszka Tomczak-Tuzińska

Apsys Polska

Agnieszka Tomczak-Tuzińska has extensive experience in drafting and implementing marketing strategies and developing business activity in the shopping center sector. She worked i.e. at Atrium, Caleaum Development, and CREAM. At present, she is the marketing director at Apsys Polska. She graduated from the Management and Marketing Department at the Gdańsk University of Technology and from École Supérieure de Commerce de Rouen, a leading business school in France, where she studied finance.

Dominik Piwek

NEPI RockCastle

Dominik Piwek studied sociology at the University of Warsaw and Politics and Economics of Central-Eastern Europe at the University of London. He has been working in marketing and advertising since 1994 and gained professional experience while working for international advertising agencies such as Publicis, BBDO Worldwide, and Edipresse publishing house. He co-created media, advertising and marketing strategies for such brands as Renault, British Airways, and Red Bull. Between 2007 and 2014, he was a marketing and PR manager at METRO Properties Sp. z o.o. and his work earned him much recognition. Since 2014, he has been working for BALMAIN Properties Management Sp. z o.o., where he is responsible for marketing coordination and corporate strategy development and implementation, advertising and marketing communication and PR for all shopping centers managed by the company. In his free time, he is keen on alpine skiing, motorcycling and travelling.

Leszek Sikora

ECE Projektmanagement

Leszek Sikora has been active on the Polish development market since 1999, primarily with Metro AG, ExxonMobil Poland and Clairmont Global. He joined ECE Projektmanagement in 2005 as development manager, than from June 2011 till September 2013 he was head of development for Poland and proxy. Currently Mr. Sikora is managing director and member of the board of ECE Projektmanagement Polska.

Katarzyna Walendzik

Katarzyna Marzena Walendzik, to charyzmatyczny menadżer z wieloletnim i bogatym doświadczeniem w dziedzinie zarządzania i branży retail. Przez ostatnie lata z sukcesami zajmuje się efektywnym rozwojem marek zagranicznych obecnych na polskim rynku. Dzięki wiedzy, umiejętnościom i kreatywnemu podejściu do biznesu skutecznie wykorzystuje potencjał firm i współpracowników.
Katarzyna Walendzik ma wieloletnie doświadczenie menadżerskie, doskonale rozwinięte umiejętności planowania, diagnozowania i koordynacji. Biegłą znajomość języka francuskiego wykorzystuje w wieloletniej pracy dla firm z kapitałem francuskim. W latach 2001–2005 była menadżerem sklepów dla firmy CAMAIEU. Następnie w okresie 2005–2010 była dyrektorem sklepów dla marki GO SPORT. Od sierpnia 2010 r. zajmowała stanowisko country managera w ETAM Poland, rozwijając pozycję marki na rynku polskim. Od maja 2014 r. pełni funkcję dyrektora generalnego w CAMAIEU Polska, gdzie odpowiada za mocniejszą, wielopłaszczyznową  adaptację strategii rozwoju firmy na rynku polskim. Jest osobą wyróżniającą się bardzo dużym optymizmem i zaangażowaniem. Swoją postawą i profesjonalizmem w pracy potrafi zjednać i motywować współpracowników. Cechują ją także kreatywność w działaniu i umiejętność szybkiego reagowania na zmiany. Katarzyna Walendzik w swojej pracy nie zna granic rozwoju firmy i pracowników. Prywatnie Katarzyna Walendzik jest szczęśliwą mamą i żoną. Jej marzeniem jest podróż dookoła świata. Jest przekonana, że to i inne marzenia spełnią się dzięki zaangażowaniu w pracę, wspaniałej rodzinie i jej dewizie życiowej: „Osiągniecie dowolnego celu nie jest kwestią czasu, ale sposobu dojścia do realizacji zamierzeń. Czasu zazwyczaj jest zbyt mało...”.

Tomasz Malicki

Gino Rossi S.A.

Tomasz Malicki is an experienced top manager, who has been dealing with sales management and building strong position of renown Polish and international footwear and clothing brands for years.

He has been involved with Gino Rossi since the beginning of his career. The company manages a portfolio of two brands: Gino Rossi footwear and Simple Creative Products offering clothing for women. Between 2001 and 2008, he was a commercial director at Gino Rossi and was responsible for establishment of the company’s own retail outlet network offering Gino Rossi footwear in Poland and development of the franchising network.

In 2011, Tomasz Malicki returned to Gino Rossi in the capacity of the president of the Management Board. Tomasz Malicki became the president of the Management Board at a very difficult time when the company struggled with excessive level of indebtedness and limited access to capital which was essential for further development. Under the leadership of Tomasz Malicki and following implementation of a debt restructuring program for the Gino Rossi Group and organizational changes in collection management, the company found its way out of trouble and regained its market position.

Before becoming the president of the Gino Rossi Management Board, Tomasz Malicki worked at Ecco Shoes Poland between 2009 and 2011 and i.e. as a member of the Management Board was responsible for development and management of the Ecco footwear outlet chain in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Before, between 2008 and 2009, Tomasz Malicki worked for Adidas Poland, where he was responsible for development, establishment of structures and management of the retail outlet chain in Poland and Central European countries.

Tomasz Malicki is a graduate of the Gdańsk University of Technology, Management and Economics Department, and a MBA program of the Gdańsk Foundation for Management Development and the University of Gdańsk with the participation of the BCC in Warsaw. In recognition of his professional achievements, Tomasz Malicki became the Businessman of 2014 in the Pomerania Region and was awarded a Silver Bear in the category “manager” by the President of Słupsk City and the Head of Słupsk District Authorities.
